Your Personal Data Rights

Privacy Request

Use this page to understand how you can ask AfricaTourVisa to review, access, correct, delete, restrict or otherwise address personal information associated with you, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of your request.

1. Privacy requests and your personal information

AfricaTourVisa may hold personal information when you use our travel, visa-support, application, booking, payment, customer-support or other website services.

Depending on applicable law and your circumstances, you may be able to request certain actions relating to your personal information.

This page provides a way to request privacy-related action. It does not guarantee that every requested action can legally or technically be completed. Each request must be reviewed according to the data involved, the reason it is held, and applicable obligations.

2. Types of privacy requests

Depending on the circumstances, you may be able to request one or more of the following:

Access

Request information about personal data associated with you and obtain a copy where applicable.

Correction

Ask for inaccurate or incomplete personal information to be corrected where appropriate.

Deletion

Ask for personal information to be deleted where there is no overriding reason or obligation requiring continued retention.

Restriction

Ask for certain processing to be limited in circumstances where that right applies.

Objection

Object to certain processing carried out on particular legal grounds where applicable.

Data portability

Request eligible personal data in a portable format where the relevant legal requirements are met.

Withdraw consent

Withdraw consent for processing that relies specifically on your consent.

Privacy question

Ask how particular information is collected, used, shared, stored or retained.

3. Access to your personal data

You may request information about personal data AfricaTourVisa holds about you where applicable.

Depending on the request and applicable law, a response may include information such as:

  • categories of personal data processed;
  • purposes for which the data is used;
  • relevant recipients or recipient categories;
  • available information about retention;
  • the source of information where appropriate;
  • a copy of eligible personal information.

Access to information concerning another person may be restricted unless you are authorized to act for that individual.

4. Correcting inaccurate information

If information associated with you is inaccurate or incomplete, you may ask for it to be corrected.

For travel or visa applications, contact us as soon as possible if you identify an error in details such as:

  • name;
  • date of birth;
  • nationality;
  • passport number;
  • passport expiry date;
  • travel date;
  • contact information;
  • other application details.
Important for submitted applications Once information has been transmitted to a government authority, travel provider or other external recipient, AfricaTourVisa may not be able to change it directly. Additional procedures, charges or a new application may be required.

5. Requests to delete personal information

You may request deletion of eligible personal data.

A deletion request does not necessarily mean that every record can be immediately erased.

Certain information may need to be retained where reasonably necessary for purposes such as:

  • financial and accounting records;
  • fraud prevention;
  • transaction records;
  • legal obligations;
  • complaints or disputes;
  • establishing, exercising or defending legal claims;
  • security investigations;
  • records of services already supplied.

Where complete deletion is not appropriate, other measures such as restriction, minimization or anonymization may be considered where relevant.

6. Restriction and objection requests

In certain circumstances, you may ask AfricaTourVisa to restrict how particular personal data is processed or object to certain processing.

Whether such a request applies will depend on factors including:

  • the purpose of processing;
  • the legal basis relied upon;
  • the status of an active service or application;
  • legal and security obligations;
  • whether overriding legitimate grounds apply.

7. Data portability

Where the applicable requirements are met, you may be able to request certain personal data you provided in a structured and commonly used format.

Data portability does not necessarily apply to every record, document, internal assessment or piece of information held by AfricaTourVisa.

9. Identity verification

Protecting personal data means we must take reasonable steps to make sure that privacy requests are made by the correct person or an authorized representative.

We may therefore ask for information sufficient to verify:

  • your identity;
  • your connection to an order or application;
  • your authority to act for another person;
  • the specific personal information concerned.

Verification information should be proportionate to the request. Avoid sending unnecessary identity documents unless requested.

10. Requests made by parents, guardians or representatives

A privacy request may sometimes be submitted by another person, including:

  • a parent or legal guardian;
  • an authorized representative;
  • a person acting under a valid legal authority.

AfricaTourVisa may request evidence showing that the representative has appropriate authority before disclosing or changing personal information.

Requests concerning minors should also be read together with our Children's Privacy Policy .

11. Situations where a request may be limited

A request may be limited, refused in part, or require additional information where permitted or required by applicable law.

Examples may include situations where:

  • identity cannot reasonably be verified;
  • the request concerns another person's rights or information;
  • records must be retained for legal or financial reasons;
  • the information is required for an ongoing dispute;
  • deletion would interfere with fraud or security investigations;
  • the request is manifestly unfounded or excessively repetitive where applicable;
  • another legal exemption or obligation applies.

Where appropriate, we aim to explain why a particular request cannot be fully completed.

12. How long privacy requests may take

AfricaTourVisa aims to review valid privacy requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

The time needed can depend on:

  • the nature of the request;
  • the volume of relevant records;
  • identity verification;
  • whether multiple systems or providers are involved;
  • the complexity of the request.

If additional information is required to identify the relevant data, we may contact you before the request can be completed.

13. Submit a privacy request

Use the form below as a clear structure for submitting a privacy request. Connect the form action to your secure server-side privacy request handler before publishing.

Do not request highly sensitive documents through an unsecured form. If identity verification documents are required, your server-side workflow should provide an appropriate secure upload process.
Optional, but helpful if your request relates to a specific service.
Do not include card PINs, banking passwords, one-time codes, or unnecessary passport information.
This can help determine which privacy rights may apply.

14. Protecting your information when making a request

When contacting AfricaTourVisa about privacy, provide enough information for the request to be identified but avoid sending unnecessary sensitive data.

In particular, do not send:

  • payment-card PINs;
  • online-banking passwords;
  • one-time authentication codes;
  • account passwords;
  • unrequested passport copies;
  • unnecessary medical or family information.
